Happy Friday! I've had a slow morning hanging out while an electrician hooks up our new sump pump (so exciting I know). I am going to start doing life updates once a week (even if I'm the only one who looks at it haha) just so I can have a place to look back on and see what has been going on in my life.
In case you didn't know, I am an occupational therapist who recently graduated in May. COVID-19 really threw off the job market for the setting I was hoping to get in to after school. I love working with kids and absolutely fell in love with my outpatient pediatric clinic I completed a fieldwork rotation in. Because of COVID, so many of the pediatric clinics were just opening back up so they weren't hiring. Anyway, this summer I studied and passed my boards in July. I also started working as a COVID screener at a construction site (boy was that an experience I never knew I would have). Eventually I started working home health part time and continued my COVID screening job. I was so busy. I was also babysitting when I had time, so for some weeks, I was working 70 hours. I don't know how some people do that on a regular basis! Now, the construction is complete so I've been on the hunt for a full time job. While I've been looking, two pediatric part time jobs were actually posted. Even though I was really hoping for a full time job, these two pediatric opportunities would allow me to keep my home health job (which I'm actually loving) and get my foot in the door for pediatrics. Anyway, I have an interview for one of them and we will just see where it goes! That's all I have for my life update for now!

These leggings are Athleta's warmer version of leggings for colder weather. I've had an old pair for years that I wear over and over again all winter. This pair is this year's version. This pair is not quite as thick as my old pair, but they are definitely warmer than your typical leggings. One of the best parts about these leggings are the zipper pockets on the side that fit your phone.
I just ordered these Sorel tennis shoes and they are actually on sale right now! I've been looking for a new pair of tennis shoes, and with winter coming, I thought this pair would actually be a good option for this season.
This cropped quarter-zip looks so sharp and has ties on the waist to cinch it if you want. Another great option is this cropped hoodie I posted earlier in the week that is more affordable!
